Ok, I gotta admit I am getting a little overwhelmed by all of this stuff.  I am trying, but as a physical education guy I don't get a lot of time with technology.  I just have to keep reminding myself to keep going.  I also find that when I do start exploring, I just keep exploring and forget to actally do the assignment and do things like post about it because it is easy to get lost in all the different sites and technologies and forget what time it is.

Found this podcast about the challenges of using Web 2.0 in the classroom.  I am realizing that for me as a physical education teacher, the use of technology seems to be far more limited.

Got my Facebook account set up.  I had my 17 and 13 year old sons do the teaching last night about Facebook.  I was amazed how tech knowledgable they are.  it was neat to be able to look at their pages.  Kids today have so many more ways of interacting then I ever did.  They can be in contact 24/7, whether by the computer or texting.  It's amazing, and more than a little scary.  There is a whole new level of trust involved, but it is also nice to now that I can reach them any time as well.
